and a royalty-free stock photo by an unknown, anonymous author Perhaps a poster child for Aware Magazine (a publication I'd like to see, for the openly lycanthropic), or perhaps an old WWII-era photo. Or, maybe a Geisha girl who can help you feel better by bringing you the severed heads of your troubles. Comments

I used the same stock photo of the wolf to get the miscellaneous fur. I used the cloning tool and sections of the wolf body, rotating as needed. I've found it a lot more realistic than trying to draw the fur from scratch. I also work to match up the color tones of the different source photos. If one is bluish and the other amber, it's a giveaway that it's a cut and paste job. But, if the wolf's fur is toned the same amber as the lady in the portrait, it looks pretty convincing. I also chose to sacrifice some of the color data and purposefully fade the photo. Black-and-whites look more realistic, but I find I do almost as well with faded color. |
